The AMD socket A cpu has been out of production, like forever!When I went shopping for a replacement mobo for my old Athlon 3000+, 'PC Chips' was the last mobo that I could find still on the market.like the CPU itself, socket A mobo's have not been manufactured for several years now.Socket A is just very old technology now. NOT for anyone wanting really good performance.I wouldn't touch 'PC Chips' mobo's with a ten foot pole, (they were always of poor quality and very trouble prone) and I wound up with an ASRock Upgrade board which served me well till just recently when it got very flakey.Apparently its time to retire my Athlon 3000+ and the other things that went with it.Good Luck,Shadow.
